Project Scope and Objectives

  • Assess the impact of Nutrition Sensitive Livelihood Enhancement (NSLE) interventions on health, nutrition, and financial literacy.
  • Improve livelihoods and resilience among 2,250 rural households using the 4A framework (Awareness, Availability, Accessibility, Affordability).
  • Address systemic barriers to health and economic resilience.

Project Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive endline survey report evaluating health, nutrition, and financial literacy outcomes.
  • Establishment of NutriHubs to provide community-based health and livelihood services.
  • Training modules to promote sustainable wellness, hygiene practices, and financial literacy.

  • Conducted baseline and endline surveys targeting 355 households with structured questionnaires.
  • Delivered capacity-building programs, including interactive training sessions and NutriHub services, to empower communities.
  • Distributed vouchers for accessing NutriHub resources, introducing sustainable services for long-term use.

Outcomes:

  • Increased access to health testing facilities and improved awareness of health practices, including diabetes management and hygiene.
  • Enhanced dietary diversity through kitchen gardens and poultry farming initiatives.
  • Significant progress in financial literacy and inclusion, promoting budgeting and savings practices.

  • Tailored education and participatory approaches are crucial for addressing localized needs.
  • Sustaining NutriHubs as community-owned platforms requires ongoing support and resource accessibility.
  • Expanding initiatives like kitchen gardens in underperforming regions, such as Gwadar, can bridge regional disparities.
