Project Scope and Objectives

  • Enhance the governance capacities of elected Village Council members in North and South Waziristan.
  • Address knowledge gaps in resource mobilization, project management, and gender-inclusive decision-making.
  • Promote participatory governance and sustainable development practices.

Project Deliverables:

  • A comprehensive 2-day training program tailored to diverse literacy levels.
  • Training materials, including handbooks and visual aids, emphasizing practical governance skills.
  • Evaluation tools, such as pre- and post-tests, to measure knowledge improvement.

Implementation:

  • Conducted 29 workshops engaging over 711 participants, including women councilors.
  • Utilized interactive methods like role-playing, scenario-based exercises, and group activities.
  • Incorporated gender-sensitive approaches to empower women leaders in governance.

Outcomes:

  • Improved understanding of governance frameworks, resource mobilization, and conflict resolution among council members.
  • Increased female participation in governance and decision-making.
  • Development of action plans for effective local governance and project management.
