Background:
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formulated the Tribal Decade Strategy (TDS) to guide development programs and interventions in the Merged Areas for the next ten years. The Accelerated Implementation Program (AIP) has been established under the Planning and Development Department (P&DD) to implement the TDS in three phases from 2020 to 2030. Considering the significance and political sensitivity of the development schemes under AIP, it was deemed essential to orient key staff of all departments on the urgency of development, its alignment with the TDS, and the importance of effective programming based on analytics and objective measurement. Objectives:
– Institutionalize Programming Approaches/Analytics and Measures (PAM) in the ADP and AIP planning process to enable results-oriented planning and programming.– Facilitate context-specific innovations in service delivery systems and improve data collection and analysis for better decision-making.
– Strengthen the overall planning process of GoKP to make logical, prudent, and accountable decisions for sectoral resource allocation.
